# locationhero — Locations for photoshoots & film productions

locationhero is a platform that connects location providers with photographers and filmmakers in Germany. It allows users to search for and book locations for photo shoots and film productions, with a variety of filters available to refine their search.

## The challenge

Despite its unique concept connecting venue providers with creative professionals, locationhero was initially hampered by a fragmented and difficult-to-navigate platform. This likely led to frustration for venue owners trying to manage their listings and for creative professionals trying to find and book suitable spaces. The lack of a centralized and intuitive system hindered user adoption, efficient data management, and ultimately the platform's ability to facilitate successful bookings and grow its community.

## What we delivered

We delivered a full-service solution for locationhero that addressed key usability and management challenges. This included a customized admin panel for centralized data management, a specially adapted Shopify theme for a consistent website, and a smooth migration from the legacy platform. We implemented advanced search and filtering features via a Shopify app. We also redesigned the booking flow, hosted the checkout with all required calculations, and integrated Stripe as a reliable payment gateway. Additionally, we optimized email communication for user engagement and ensured clear transaction notifications, resulting in a robust, user-friendly platform designed for efficient management and a streamlined booking experience.
