Introduction
Boostly: Page Speed Optimizer (the “App”) provides page speed optimization services (the “Service”) to merchants who use Shopify to power their stores. This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.
1. Personal Information the App Collects
When you install the App, we automatically access certain store data from your Shopify account (such as store domain and settings) strictly for the purpose of delivering the Service. We do not collect or store any personal data about you (the merchant) or your customers.
- No additional data collection: We do not collect user or customer data independently, nor do we log IP addresses, browser details, or any other form of personal information.
- No tracking or marketing tools: We do not use cookies, web beacons, tags, pixels, or any other tracking technologies for marketing or analytics purposes.
Because we do not collect personal information about individual buyers or merchants, we do not hold details like names, addresses, email addresses, or phone numbers in the App. Any information you provide to Shopify remains within Shopify’s systems unless you explicitly share it with us outside of the App.
2. How We Use Your Store Data
We use the store data we access (e.g., store domain, theme information) solely to:
- Operate the App and optimize page loading times.
- Ensure compatibility with your store’s theme and settings.
We do not use this information for marketing, advertising, or to contact you outside of providing technical and operational support for the Service.
3. Sharing Your Information
Since we do not collect personal information, we do not share it with third parties. In the rare event that we need to share store data:
- Legal obligations: We may share information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, or in response to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful request.
- Protecting our rights: We may also share information to protect our rights or to enforce our legal terms and agreements.
We do not have any third-party integrations or services (such as analytics or marketing platforms) that would receive your store data.
4. European Residents’ Rights
We are located in Europe and respect the privacy rights of European residents (GDPR). Since we do not collect or process personal data within our App, any personal data requests (access, correction, deletion) should be directed to Shopify or handled in accordance with your Shopify settings. 5. Data Retention
We do not store personal information in our systems. We only keep the basic store connection data needed to run the App for as long as the App is installed on your Shopify store. When the App is removed, our connection to your store is terminated, and we no longer retain any related store data.
6. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Any changes will be posted to this same URL, and you are encouraged to review the Policy periodically.
